A look At my Week !

It's been a week of growth and discovery for me! I've been busy ticking off items from my wishlist, including posting two new YouTube videos. I also took some time to unwind at the beach with a friend, and used the opportunity to reflect on my life. One of the things that has helped me stay on track is journaling - it's an excellent tool for boosting productivity and overcoming anxious thoughts.

As I reflect on the week, I realize that I've learned a lot about myself and what I need to focus on in my life. Here are some key takeaways:

  • Learning, unlearning, and relearning are all essential parts of personal growth.

  • Pursuing my passions and crossing things off my bucket list brings me immense joy.

  • Spending time with loved ones and enjoying the present moment is just as important as working hard towards my goals.

  • Journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and personal development.

    Two Important aspects i explored:

  • My true value is authenticity. I strive to practice what I preach in my life and share my authentic self with the world. This value has been instrumental in helping me identify my true identity."

  • Learn to dealing with criticism: (1) Don’t react instantly, when the head is hot, the tongue works faster than the mind. (2) Be Open minded. (3) Fact-check, (4) Correct yourself.

    Just do this exercise whenever you face criticism:

  • How did it make you feel in the first instance ?

  • Was there any truth in it ?

  • What do you think you did well in dealing with it ?

  • What do you think went wrong and what can you do differently when dealing with criticism in the future ?

Get enough sleep and rest

Let's examine the most underrated productivity hack - the importance of sleep and rest. Without adequate rest, humans cannot function properly and this can severely impact their productivity

  1. Establish a sleep routine: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day to establish a consistent sleep routine. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

  2. Create a sleep-conducive environment: Make sure your sleeping environment is quiet, dark, and cool to promote better sleep.

According to Harvard brain scientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, (90) ninety seconds is all it takes to identify an emotion and allow it to dissipate while you simply notice it. When you’re stressed, pausing ninety seconds and labeling what you’re feeling (eg., I’m getting angry), tamps down activity in the amygdala. MRI studies of the brain show that this “emotion labeling” calms the brain region involved in angry outbursts and helps you regain control.
